Rental Terms and Conditions

By placing an order with Lawn Signs Mt ("Lawn Signs Mt," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to the rental terms and conditions set forth below. Please read this agreement carefully. All lawn display signs remain the property of Lawn Signs Mt at all times and are provided to Customer on a rental basis only.

Your credit card statement will show a charge from "Lawn Signs Mt."

1. Rental Agreement & Ownership

All display items ("Signs") rented through Lawn Signs Mt remain the sole property of Lawn Signs Mt at all times. This agreement grants Customer a temporary, non-transferable right to display the Signs at the agreed location for the agreed Rental Period only.

2. Rental Period

•          Standard rentals: 24 hours from the scheduled delivery/setup time.

•          Special event rentals: as agreed upon in official written communication (email or text) between Customer and Lawn Signs Mt.

•          Graduation sign rentals: best-effort, typically 8–12 hours, unless a different duration is agreed upon in writing.

Any change to the Rental Period must be confirmed in writing (email or text) to be valid.

3. Setup Requirements

1.       A grassy area is required for display setup. Signs cannot be set up on parking lots, driveways, concrete, sidewalks, or other hardscape surfaces.

2.       Grass must be cut prior to our crew's arrival for setup.

3.       Setup is provided in the front yard only. Backyard setups are not authorized unless prior arrangements have been made in writing.

4.       Deliveries/setups and pickups are generally performed between approximately 6:00 PM and 5:00 AM, depending on route scheduling.

5.       The date/time you select at booking is your Arrival Window start time — it is NOT a guaranteed exact delivery time. Our crew will arrive within approximately 1 hour of your selected time (for example, selecting 7:00 AM means arrival between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM). The same applies to your selected pickup time. If you need setup completed before your selected Arrival Window, please contact us in advance; we will do our best to accommodate, but an earlier arrival cannot be guaranteed, as other deliveries and installations may be scheduled around the same time.

4. Prohibited Conduct

•          Do not attach balloons to any part of the display.

•          Do not pull, move, relocate, or otherwise disturb the display once installed. If early pickup is needed, call (406) 409-3160 immediately — do not move the display yourself.

•          Do not allow any person, especially children, to climb on, sit on, lean on, or otherwise play on or around the display. The Signs are not designed or built to safely support the weight of a child or adult, and Lawn Signs Mt strongly discourages this activity for safety reasons.

•          Do not remove, hide, or relocate the Lawn Signs Mt company sign placed alongside the display.

Customers and guests are welcome to pose near the display for photographs (e.g., for social media), provided the display itself is not moved, climbed on, or otherwise disturbed.

5. Payment & Fees

Payment in full is required at the time of booking to confirm a reservation.

Damaged, Missing, or Stolen Signs

Customer is responsible for the replacement cost of any Sign, sign stake, or component that is missing, stolen, or damaged during the Rental Period — including damage caused by lawnmowers, string trimmers/weed-wackers, flying debris, pets, or other causes within the Customer's premises. Any such amount will be charged to the credit card on file. Replacement cost varies by sign type and will be communicated to Customer upon request prior to booking.

6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled installation date will be refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled installation date will be charged the full rental rate. To cancel, call (406) 409-3160 or email lawnsigns@lawnsignsmt.com.

No-Refund Circumstances

No refund will be issued in the following circumstances:

6.       Customer provides an incorrect address or no address is posted on the property (an additional fee may apply to relocate the display to the correct address).

7.       The homeowner requests that Lawn Signs Mt remove the display.

8.       Lawn Signs Mt is denied access to a gated community. Customer must disclose gated-community status in advance and provide a gate access code.

9.       An animal (e.g., a loose dog) prevents safe setup of the display.

10.    Circumstances outside Lawn Signs Mt's reasonable control prevent setup.

11.    No suitable grassy front-yard area is available for setup (see Section 3). Backyard setup will not be performed absent prior written agreement.

12.    The homeowner, business owner, or a security officer prevents setup, or requests pickup before the end of the Rental Period.

7. Weather & Force Majeure

Lawn Signs Mt will not set up displays in inclement weather, including lightning, thunderstorms, snowstorms, frozen ground, ice, heavy rain, high wind, or similar hazardous conditions. If weather prevents setup, Lawn Signs Mt will first attempt to reschedule; if rescheduling is not possible, Customer will receive a full refund.

Display pickup may occur earlier than scheduled if sustained winds exceed 22 mph or wind gusts exceed 30 mph.

8. Liability & Assumption of Risk

Lawn Signs Mt and its representatives are not responsible or liable for any injury to any person, or damage to any personal or real property, arising during the rental, setup, or pickup period, including but not limited to damage to lawns, landscaping, or underground utilities/sprinkler systems (e.g., holes or punctures caused by sign stakes).

Lawn Signs Mt is not responsible for compliance with local city ordinances or regulations concerning lawn greeting displays. Customer is responsible for checking with their local city hall regarding any applicable ordinances before booking.

HOA & Community Rules

Customer is solely responsible for confirming that the display complies with any applicable homeowners' association (HOA) rules, covenants, or community guidelines prior to booking. Lawn Signs Mt is not responsible for violations of HOA rules and will not issue a refund on that basis.

Indemnification

Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Lawn Signs Mt, its owners, employees, and representatives from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from Customer's negligence, misuse of the display, or violation of this agreement. Lawn Signs Mt agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Customer from claims, damages, or expenses arising from the negligence of Lawn Signs Mt or its representatives in the course of delivering, installing, or removing the display.

9. Photo & Media Release

By booking with Lawn Signs Mt, Customer grants Lawn Signs Mt a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use photographs or videos of the display taken at Customer's property — including images featuring Customer or guests — for marketing purposes (such as the Lawn Signs Mt website, social media, and advertising), unless Customer opts out in writing prior to the event by emailing lawnsigns@lawnsignsmt.com.

10. SMS & Text Messaging Consent

By providing your mobile phone number when booking with Lawn Signs Mt, you consent to receive text messages (SMS) from Lawn Signs Mt at that number related to your rental, including booking confirmations, delivery and pickup notifications, and reminders. Lawn Signs Mt may also send a photo of the completed display to the phone number of the person for whom the display was ordered, where applicable.

Consent to receive service-related texts (confirmations, delivery/pickup notices, reminders) is required in order to book, since these messages are necessary to coordinate your rental. Consent to receive promotional or marketing texts is separate and optional, and may be withdrawn at any time without affecting your ability to book service-related communications.

•          Message frequency: approximately 1-4 messages per month per booking.

•          Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

•          To opt out of texts at any time, reply STOP to any message. You may still receive a final confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out.

•          For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at (406) 409-3160 or lawnsigns@lawnsignsmt.com.

•          Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Lawn Signs Mt does not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS consent information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase where not otherwise required to render service, and your information will be used in accordance with this agreement's Privacy Policy.

11. Privacy Policy

Lawn Signs Mt respects your privacy. We do not sell information about our renters or the surprise parties (honorees) associated with a booking to third parties. Our full Privacy Policy is available at https://www.lawnsignsmt.com/privacy.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from this agreement that cannot be resolved directly between the parties may be brought in the small claims court for the county in which Lawn Signs Mt operates, or another court of competent jurisdiction in Montana.

If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Customer and Lawn Signs Mt regarding the rental of Signs, superseding any prior oral or written agreements on the subject.
